Coaching Experiences:

2012-Present Technology-Literacy & Math Coach, Public School 16, Staten Island, NY 10301

  • Addressed need of specific teachers and support technology integration into instruction in all content areas.

  • Work with members of DIIT and Director of Social Media on piloting Bring Your Own Device for 2015-2016

  • Created a school technology vision and goal setting for integration into the curriculum.

  • Implemented Google Apps for Education and run the administrative console for PreK-5 and all staff.

  • Coordinated 1st Technology Summit for District 31 schools.

  • Presenter at NYC Dept of Education Summer Technology Summit 2014-present.

  • Team leader for SCEC edtech pilot program  through iZone.

  • Lead PS 16 to schoolwide Certification in Common Sense Education.

  • Wrote and won Learning Technology Grant for PS 16.

  • Member of the Principal’s Cabinet, Assistant Principals’ Advisory Team and Professional Development Team.

  • Head of 3 year Learning Technology Grant which allowed for us to build a media center with iMacs, iPads, printers and video making material. Collaborative grant with Eltingville Lutheran School creating a documentary about Staten Island diversity.

  • Coordinate and present during Professional Development time twice a week. 

  • Technology liaison and administrator at PS 16 maintaining school website and staff handbook online, established community outreach through technology utilizing social media, and assist teachers in website creating 

  • Increased technology throughout PS 16 over past 3 years by purchasing and maintaining all technology in the building.

  • Assembly Point Coordinator and Safety Leader for PS 16, manage 30 members of the Building Response Team

  • Run safety committee team for PS 16.

  • Participant in Instructional rounds for all teachers across grades taking low inference notes and coding lesson against the Danielson Framework to help colleagues improve pedagogy.

  • Created an online Schoology space for teachers to share on Teacher Effectiveness, Danielson, best practices and reflections.

  • Created a preliminary schoolwide technology plan, currently working on enhancements with DIIT for grades K-5 

  • Built and maintain online space for housing curriculum maps and best practice lesson sharing via Google Drive

  • Providing differentiated professional development based on surveys on latest technology updates, planning and preparation, use of programs, use of iPads, Smartboards, document cameras, clickers, Livescribe pens, troubleshooting support, and web 2.0.

  • Create teams of students for enrichment projects and create a support team to work in classrooms to build capacity within the students

  • Coordinate and facilitate homework team, report card team, technology team, and math team

  • Provide one on one coaching based on feedback from supervisors based on areas of need in Danielson Framework competencies.

  • Worked collaboratively with my Special Education co-teacher in lesson planning, classroom management, data drive assessments & grouping, professional development and using Howard Gardner’s multiple intelligences for differentiation methods.

  • Utilizing iPad, iPod and laptop technologies to facilitate lessons, gather data and have students create and learn.

  • Infused technology into curriculum, web 2.0, tools into everyday lessons to help students become 21st century learners.

  • Created an evolving curriculum CCLS based and cross curriculum along with Lead teacher on grade level turn keying information on school and grade wide .

  • Participating in teacher teams to build lessons, curriculum, best practices, and assessments

  • Attended professional developments on the writing and science, given by Network Support Specialists

  • Coordinator at PS 16 for PEARLS Title II D technology grant for the past four years working with a team of teachers and administrators using web 2.0 tools and enhancing technology in our school.

  • Worked with a partner teacher on developing 2nd and 3rd grade curriculum and worked along side partners from K-5.  

  • Attended PD series on Differentiated Instruction and Tiered Activities and on the writing and science

  • Published an article in a 2010 addition of New York Teacher Magazine on Differentiation Instruction through using “Choice Menus”

  • Attended and presented technology professional developments on blogs, wikis, Google tools, technology integration, ePals, iMovie and many other web 2.0 tools
